Fair & false analogies

To compare the computer with a brain is a fair analogy, as this is essentially the function of the brain. To control human life, control his action and save his information in human memory. The computer also store the data in the hard disk and it available in any time the user ask about it.

If I compare a healthy person to a broken down horse in a race just to make the person seem less desirable or less honorable, that is a false analogy. You see it in the politics section here all the time.

The definition of Critical thinking is the ability to analyze the way you think and present evidence for your ideas, rather than simply accepting your personal reasoning as sufficient proof. you can gain numerous benefits from mastering critical thinking skills, such as better control of your own learning and empathy for other points of view.

Having the ability to think critically is an important skill that many people lack. Critical thinking is the best way to solve problems since it requires looking at an issue from several standpoints before reaching a final decision. In history, both Socrates and Buddha preached about the important role that critical thinking plays in an individual’s ability to reasonably reflect on an issue and subsequently decide what to do or believe.

To compare the human heart with a pump is a fair analogy, as this is essentially the function of the heart i.e. to move blood around the circulatory system via arteries & veins.

To suggest that cloning humans is dangerous and could lead to the production of a Frankenstein's monster is a false argument because if we clone a sheep we get a sheep which is exactly the same.
Cloning may or may not be a good thing but arguments against it must be based on fair analogies & sound logical argument, not scare-mongering.

global warming

The movie is about the global warming and what the causes of it are and what will happen if we continues in the same direction. He gives us  some real problems cause by global warming like the dry rivers in Asia because of wrong dealing with the environment which is a small example of what could happen.

The massage of the film is clear and noble. We need to defend  our planet. We are attacking ourselves without knowing what we are actually doing. There are three main points. First, the increase in population. The population has triple in last 100 years. Second, we are harming the environment. For example 30% of CO2 is caused by forest fires. We need to protect our planet. Fight to life in peace. USA does a good job in a way to solve this problem but it has not get the full cooperation from other industrial countries such as China and India.

My opinion is that we have the solutions and we need to decide what we should do to help our planet to face this environmental issue. We need to think about the future, about what great inventions the people do. Do not waste what Albert Einstein did for us.Do not let them destroy what Thomas Edison proved. We should have for each person the awareness about the global warming and how to deal with it in a good way.
